Beylerbeyi Palace : One of the most beautiful examples of 19th century Ottoman palaces, this palace is also one of the most visited monuments of the city. This palace, which was used as a summer palace by the Ottoman Sultans, was also the VIP guest house of celebrities of the period such as Empress Eugenie of France, Prince Napoleon of France, Shah Reza Pahlavi of Iran, Russian and German Princes and American Professor Lawrence Smith.
